As all Army MARS members should all know by now, CAM has changed the rules of engagement regarding the use of ALE within Army MARS to limit it to non-Army MARS frequencies.

All Army MARS member are however allowed to continue using ALE systems on the AFMARS/NMCM ALE Network which now only consists of frequencies from those services as well as on customers frequencies such as if an authorized Army MARS SHARES station.

As no Army MARS authorization is required any longer for ALE use AAR3BB/AAA9HT has announced that any Army MARS member desiring a MARS-ALE license for use of the MARS-ALE software in their MARS related activities may send a request with the following information directly to him at REIDMAH@aol.com.

1. Member Name
2. Member Army MARS call sign
3. Member E-mail address
4. Member city and state of resident.

The MARS-ALE beta software and documentation may be download from the open web site at http://www.n2ckh.com/MARS_ALE_FORUM/ or the forum files section at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MARS-ALE/ which also provides the latest pre-beta release and additional information.
